Career Paths in Economics
Economists study social behavior with the assumption that individuals engage in activities when the benefits of doing so exceed the costs. The simple assumption is the foundation of economic studies of growth and development, international trade and exchange rates, inflation, taxation, financial markets and the organization of financial institutions, and the determination of market prices.
Seniors with at least a B average and with permission from the director of graduate studies may enroll in courses from the graduate economics curriculum.
